Your First Visit at Rockford Pediatric Dentistry
Welcome to our practice! We are so delighted to meet you and your child.
According to guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, infants should first visit the dentist when the first tooth appears, or around the time of their first birthday. The earlier children come to visit us, the sooner they become acclimated and comfortable with the dental environment, and the more cavities we can prevent!

There are two types of initial visits we provide at Rockford Pediatric Dentistry:
Comprehensive Exam/Cleaning
Our office will complete a dental cleaning and take any required x-rays of your child’s teeth. Next, our pediatric dentist will meet you and your child, perform a thorough exam, and create a comprehensive treatment plan to address any and all of your child’s dental needs.
Limited Exam/Emergency Visit
These visits are to address more emergent conditions, such as dental pain, trauma, and any other immediate concerns. We are always available to assess emergency situations for your family.
